Abstract:

The paper to examine the constitution of contemporary teaching in high school in Brazil, taking as a condition of possibility of the emergence of cognitive capitalism, mode of economic organization marked by bioeconomic strategies. Take as an investigative materiality set of curriculum documents published byUNESCO and the Brazilian government over the last decade. Objective is then to question the ways in which intensify, contemporaneously, the investment policy on teaching in high school in Brazil. As findings in this study presents a set of three rationales bioeconomic productivity attributed to investments in this stage of basic education, namely: a) increasing the employability potential of school subjects, b) expansion of the country’s competitiveness c ) the promotion of citizenship practicesand social security.
