Le Kha rat al- ayf f ri lat al-shita’ wa-l- ayf d’Ibn al-Kha b (1347) est un ouvrage qui a été largement négligé par la plupart des études consacrées au genre du récit de voyage (ri la). L’objectif de cet article est de faire appara tre, par l’approche de ce récit comme discours, la signification du voyage dans le royaume nasride de Grenade. Comme l’annonce le titre qui est une citation de la sourate CVI du Coran, Ibn al-Kha b procéda à une coranisation de la ri la en assimilant le cortège officiel du souverain Y suf I entre Grenade et Almeria au parcours des caravanes de Quraysh entre La Mekke et a’if. établissant un jeu de miroir entre les deux péninsules, Arabique et Ibérique, et renouant avec les origines de l’islam, le voyage fut con u comme un instrument de légitimation. Dans cette construction symbolique, la mer appara t comme l’espace privilégié de la manifestation des ambitions califales et des espoirs de revanche sur les chrétiens du pouvoir nasride. The Kha rat al- ayf f ri lat al-shita’ wa-l- ayf of Ibn al-Kha b (1347) is a work which was widely neglected by most of the studies dedicated to the genre of the account of travel (ri la). The objective of this article is to make appear, by the approach of this narrative as a speech, the meaning in the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. As announces it the title which is a quotation of the sura CVI of the Koran, Ibn al-Kha b proceeded to a coranisation of the ri la by likening the official procession of the sovereign Y suf I between Granada and Almeria to the route of the caravans of Quraysh between Mecca and a’if. Establishing a mirror effect between both peninsulas, Arabian and Iberic, and taking up with the origins of Islam, the travel was conceived as an instrument of legitimization. In this symbolic construction, the sea appears as the privileged space to express the caliphal ambitions and the hopes of revenge on the Christians of the nasrid power.
