Nursing Education: Perceptions of teachers about critical social curriculum

Abstract:

The education and the society are passing through a period of constant changes that influence the need of changing paradigms already established some time ago. The university is trying to update forward the demand of young people who grew up under the constant technological innovation. We propose to identify with the teachers of a course in nursing at higher education, how is the insertion of them in the new curriculum adopted by the school. To that end, we used a qualitative methodology, using techniques such as participant observation (field diary) and a self-administered questionnaire with open and closed questions of identification and about the topic. We realize that they are still divided. While some see the process in a positive way and trying to adapt to the current requirements, others do not agree and have doubts regarding the deployment and the desired results.
