Abstract: Computer Aided Instruction for Section Views and Students’ OpinionsProblem Statement: How do students evaluate the using of Computer Aided Instruction, which has been frequently used for teaching of many subjects of various areas in recent years, for Section Views subject taught in Technical Drawings lessons? The Aim of the Study: The aim of the study is to investigate students’ views about a Computer Aided Instruction Software (CAIS) which was designed for the teaching of Section Views subject in Technical Drawings lessons at Vocational Education Faculties. Methodology: The CAIS designed by researchers was used as an instructional tool for the teaching of Section Views subject in one of the Technical Drawings class at Vocational Education Faculty of Karabuk University. Because there were other classes which were taught with other CAISs developed by the other instructors, three groups of students (one was taught by traditional methods, one was taught with other CAISs, and the other was taught with CAIS designed in this study) were chosen as the sample of this study for the comparison. To define students’ views about the CAIS designed in this study and to compare students’ views in three different groups, an assessment questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. After the administration of the questionnaire, the data obtained from these three groups was analyzed by means of Two-Way ANOVA Technique using SPSS 10.0 TM. The comparisons between three groups were made in terms of different aspects. The results were presented in the forms of tables and graphics to make audience easily understand them. Findings and Results: It was found that the mean of total questionnaire scores of the students who was taught with the CAES designed in this study was higher than those of the other groups (one taught by traditional methods and the other taught with other CAISs). Moreover, the mean of total questionnaire scores of the students who were taught with the other CAESs was greater than that of the students who were taught in a traditional manner.Recommendations: Since the CAIS designed and used in this study was more successful than the other methods for the teaching of Technical Drawings, it is suggested that various computer aided instruction software should be designed and used for different subjects in both Technical Drawings class and the others.
