Digital Signature Scheme with Message Recovery Using Knapsack-based ECCKeywords: Authentication , Digital signature , Discrete logarithm , Elliptic curve cryptography , Knapsack , Message recovery Abstract: Digital signature authentication scheme provides securecommunication between two users. Digital signatures guaranteeend-to-end message integrity and authentication information aboutthe origin of a message. Digital signature schemes reducetransmission costs, because the message is contained in thesignature itself and no separate message and signature need besent again. These schemes are very suitable for key exchangeapplications, due to the small size of the key. In this paper, wepresent a new digital signature scheme with message recovery basedon knapsack based elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). Ellipticcurve cryptosystem provides greater security compared to integerfactorization system and discrete logarithm system, for any givenkey size and bandwidth. In our scheme, using ECC and then applyingthe knapsack generates the signature. Our scheme is secure againstmost of the current attacking mechanisms.
