INTERRUPTION OF AMINO ACIDS MOLECULAR ASYMMETRY (D/L- ENANTIOMERS) DURING NORMAL AGING AND NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES

Some facts about D-amino acids, their diffusion in human’s and animal’s organisms, metabolism, identification methods, involving in ageing and pathogenesis of some neurodegenerative diseases are show in this review. Also there is discussing the role of amino acid molecular asymmetry (D and L enantiomers ratio) as a fundamental asymmetry of living matter.
