Propuesta metodológica que analiza la ciudad de Bogotá a través de la arquitectura de Rogelio SalmonaKeywords: Rogelio Salmona , development of Bogotá , area ratios , architectural projects Abstract: Over a period of time Rogelio Salmona’s architecture has engaged in dialogue with the city, establishing a clear position: to be generous in public spaces, to have warmth towards the citizens, and to be demanding with those who own the buildings. The methodology proposed in order to undertake the analysis of the twenty-one buildings selected has several consequences: not only it localises them in different moments of their development and recognises the urban systems that have an effect on the area in which they are located as well as other important buildings, it also confirms by means of diagrams and quantitative analysis the predominant role given by Salmona to open, public, and collective spaces from his earliest works up until his latest one in Bogotá. More than just another method of evaluating Salmona’s works, the results from this analysis both confirm and quantify the interpretations that evaluate his work.
