Simulation-Based Application Software Development in Time-Triggered Communication Systems

This paper introduces a simulation-based approach for design and test of application software for time-triggered communication systems. The approach is based on the SIDERA simulation system that supportsthe time-triggered real-time protocols TTP and FlexRay. We present a software development platform forFlexRay based communication systems that provides an implementation of the AUTOSAR standardinterface for communicationbetween host application andFlexRay communication controllers. Forvalidation, we present an application example in the course of which SIDERA has been deployed fordevelopment and test of software modules for an automotive project in the field of driving dynamicscontrol
