Effect of urban environment on human health

There is an interaction among health, environment and quality of life. In recent years several models and theories of development and quality of life looking for practical ways to enhance development, protect the environment while promoting health and quality of life. However, the characteristics of the modern city are important risk factors for human health. Overcrowding, lack of proper infrastructure, high levels of pollutants, noise and temperature are the main problems of cities residents. For this reason, allowing people to come into contact with nature and the creation of more green areas within the urban areas of the Greek cities is imperative need.
