Comment traduire les noms d’émotion

Cet article porte sur l’expression des sentiments dans deux langues mises en contraste : le grec moderne et le fran ais. Nous étudions les noms prédicatifs qui expriment une émotion , tels que joie, angoisse, peur, colère, enthousiasme, etc. Dans l’objectif d’établir des équivalences entre les deux langues, nous examinons les propriétés et les particularités d’ordre syntaxique et lexicale des constructions des noms étudiés en prenant en compte les modalités aspectuelles et stylistiques ainsi que les spécifications des registres de langue par rapport aux éléments lexicaux (verbes supports et déterminants nominaux) qui y interviennent. This article presents a contrastive study of how we express emotions in Modern Greek and French. We study predicate nouns denoting emotion, such as joie, angoisse, peur, colère, enthousiasme, etc. Our aim is to establish correspondences between the lexicons of emotions of these two languages. Hence, we examine the syntactic and lexical properties of the Greek and French constructions, by taking into account the aspect and style modalities, as well as the specifications of the register in relation to the lexical elements involved (namely, support verbs and nominal determinants).
