Q Fever , Pneumonia , Hepatitis Abstract: Q fever is a disease caused by an infection with Coxiella burnetii rickettsia. It has universal distribution, generally affecting several animal species and so eventually man. In most cases are asymptomatic (55-60%). However, there are acute forms with different clinical presentation and positive prognosis (40%), and few deadly chronic cases (1-5%). The clinical orientation and serological diagnosis are essential in the proper management of the disease. Here, we present a patient with Q fever accompanied by absolute lymphocytosis, an uncommon association.
