PRUEBAS DIAGNóSTICAS: CURVAS ROC

ROC curves provide a good index of discrimination of the diagnostic test between alternative health states when the results are measured in continuous scale, ordinal or interval. If they are measured dichotomously, we represent the results in 2x2 tables and calculate sensitivity and specificity associated. In addition, statistical analysis of ROC curves provides quantitative results useful in the evaluation and comparison of diagnostic tests.
