School Vandalism Perceptions of General High School Students

Abstract:

The goal of this study is to determine school vandalism perceptions of general high school students and to develop solution offers according to the data obtained. Collecting research data, “Questionnaire of School Vandalism” which is improved by Oru (2008) were used. The questionnaires that were determined as universe were applied to 1246 students in Sincan District. Secondary problems of the research were analyzed with t-test and One Way ANOVA. As a result of research, significant differences was found among students’ perceptions level regarding vandalism and the variances as “class level”, “number of family members”, “economical level of family” and “mother’s educational level”. According to this finding as long as the levels of the related variances increase, the students express that vandalism are less performed. Additionally, female students comparing to male students say that there are much vandalism in the school
