RELIABILITY EQUIVALENCE FACTORS OF A PARALLEL SYSTEM IN TWO-DIMENSIONAL DISTRIBUTION

This paper is devoted to obtain the two-dimensional reliability modeling equivalencefactors of n independent and identical components parallel system. Bivariate Weibull model hasbeen used by considering the failure behavior of components. We discuss two-dimensionalfailure modeling for a system where degradation is due to age and usage. Three different methodsare used to improve the given system. The mean times to failures of the original and improvedsystems are obtained. Numerical studies are presented to compare the different reliability factorsobtained.
