Algunas claves de la revolución en el Río de la Plata (1810-1820) =Some keys of the revolution in the Río de la Plata (1810-1820)

Os bicentenários das independências ibero-americanas provocaram uma revis o geral da historiografia desse período. Nesse artigo, utilizo algumas contribui es mais recentes sobre a quest o para analisar, em primeiro lugar, os acontecimentos de 1810, e, a seguir, considerar quais as transforma es que fizeram desse momento uma revolu o. Finalmente, analiso em um dos aspectos da mudan a que pesquisei: o aparecimento e a importancia da participa o política popular na cidade de Buenos Aires. The bicentenaries of the Iberian-American independences have provoked a general historiographical review of that period. In this article I take some of the most recent approaches on the issue so as to explain, first, what happened in the 1810s, and then to consider which were the changes that made of that moment a revolution. Finally, I focus in one of the aspects (which I have researched) of the transformation: the appearance, the features and the importance of popular political participation in the city of Buenos Aires.
