El apostolado educativo congregacionista francés y la construcción nacional en México: una aproximación ejemplar a la historia religiosa de las relaciones internacionales The French Congregationalist Educational Apostolate and National Construction in Mexico: an exemplary approach to the religious history of international relations

Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar las problemáticas de la implantación misionera congregacionista francesa contemporánea en México, en un momento que no sólo remite a la historia religiosa y misionera tal como pudo ser descrita por la historiografía tradicional europea. Las dificultades a las cuales se enfrentaron las congregaciones especializadas en la docencia para difundir su obra en la primera mitad del siglo XX, también deben ser analizadas a partir de los dos contextos nacionales mexicano y francés caracterizados por el desarrollo de la laicización y de la secularización de la sociedad y en los cuales el tema de la educación se volvió el principal vector para imponer proyectos de sociedad opuestos. This article seeks to present the problem of the implementation of contemporary French Congregationalist missionaries in Mexico at a time that not only takes one back to religious and missionary history as it could have been described by traditional European historiography. The difficulties faced by congregations specializing in teaching in disseminate their work during the first half of the twentieth century should also be analyzed on the basis of the Mexican and French national contexts characterized by the development of laicization and the secularization of society, in which the subject of education became the main vector for imposing opposing projects for society.
