Abstract:

The aim of the study is to determine effectiveness of the student guiding material based on the 5E model, students’ achievement and their attitudes. Active learning can be boring and monotonous after a while. To recover the situation, it could be helpful to benefit from some solutions; such as, reward, competition or changing of learning environment. In this study, the materials based on 5E learning model have not a positive effect on students’ attitudes throughout very limited period of time. To determine the change on students’ attitudes, the implementation process should be take relatively longer period of time.
