Análisis de la cerámica del sitio Antiguito y su aporte al estudio de la manufactura e interacción en la quebrada de La Cueva, Humahuaca, Jujuy.

This article introduces the analysis of ceramic materials from a single excavation in the Antiguito site, located in the northern area of La Cueva gorge, Humahuaca department, province of Jujuy, Argentina. The text explains the theoretical background and the methodology used in the study to describe both the macroscopic and microscopic analyses applied. It further exemplifies the validity of the assembling technique for the study of pottery functionality. Thus, the goal is to improve the understanding of the social processes in the gorge, particularly the ones regarding the interaction and pottery manufacture.
