On a second parameter in the solution of the flow near a rotating disk by homotopy analysis methodKeywords: Rotating Disk , Homotopy Analysis Method , Convergence , Scaling Parameter Abstract: It is shown that if the solution of the flow near a rotating disk is derived using the homotopy analysis method (HAM) with the usual single parameter to adjust the convergence, it gives rather unsatisfactory results. The results can be considerably improved by including a second parameter in the form of a scaling factor that can be suitably adjusted.
