Conflictos bélicos y gestión de la información: una revisión tras la guerra en Irak y AfganistánKeywords: media , conflicts , asymmetrical conflicts , information warfare , Iraq , Afghanistan Abstract: In this article, the authors support the idea that nation-states have some structural limitations in order to adapt their strategies to the requirements of the new information dimension of armed conflicts. This, however, is not the case of their asymmetric adversaries, provided with some characteristics that allow them to exploit every potential of information society. As a support to this statement, the authors review the main theoretical perspectives on conflicts and information, asymmetrical conflict, as well as some of the most important aspects of information management during the interventions in Afghanistan (2002) and Iraq (2003).
