A Literatura Irlandesa e as Fontes Clássicas e ArqueológicasKeywords: Irish Literature , Poseidonius , comparing sources. Abstract: This paper intends to analyze the articulation between the early Irish Literature and the Classical texts. Many Irish accounts resembles to Classical texts. The behavior of the old Irish warriors, for example, can be observed in Diodorus Siculus, Strabo and Athenaeus. Many of these accounts can contribute to the comprehension of the Celtic society before the Roman conquest. Despite written in the Middle Age, the Irish Mythological texts show a society that can be inserted in the Irish Iron Age and articulated with the classical sources, as well as the archeological material.
