O Nobre e o Rei: A Influência de Galaaz na Elabora o da Imagem de Nun’álvares Pereira

This paper aims to present the elements of the images of Nun’ álvares and John I, of Portugal, elaborated by Fern o Lopes in his Chronicle of John, based in the Arthurian literature, more specifically on the connection between Nuno and Galahad, inspired in the chivalry romance The Quest for the Holy Grail. Nuno is an example of the Christian knight and the model of nobility desired by the Avis’ Dinasty: faithful, obedient and submissive to the king.
