Le père ou le roi : Stratégies de traduction en ésa e IX, 6 et XXII, 21 (Septante)

La Septante (traduction grecque ancienne de la Bible hébra que) d’ésa e refuse deux fois à un personnage le nom de père que lui accordait le texte hébreu ; en même temps, elle crée à ces personnages des traits royaux, ou les accentue. Il est possible que le traducteur ait voulu éviter d’attribuer à un être humain le qualificatif honorifique de père , qu’il réserverait ainsi à Dieu. It is possible that the translator wanted to avoid attributing to a human being the honorary term of father , that he would so reserve for God.
