Bilateral Abductor Vocal Cord Palsy in a Child: Case Report

Paralysis of the abductors of both vocalcords causes the vocal cords to lie in themidline or paramedian position. Thiscompromises the airways and causesrespiratory distress which may often beacute, necessitating tracheostomy. Here wereport a child with idiopathic cause ofbilateral abductor vocal cord palsy.
