Third world patients-are they medical slaves?

Organised slavery has apparently disappeared from the face of earth. However it is to bedoubted whether patients are slaves of the existing medical system. This is especially soamong the poor and under privileged in third world countries. Government hospitals andclinics are the only solace for the poor. But do they have the option to exercise their rightsproperly in an environment where they have a mere passive role. The saying” beggars haveno choices” is apt to highlight their plight.
