The impact of chronic skin diseases on patients` quality of life Wp yw przewlek ych chorób skóry na jako ycia pacjentów

Chronic dermatological diseases such as: psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, acne and rosacea have a negative impact on patients` quality of life. Patients very often experience stress and feelings of stigma and more often than general population suffer from various mental disorders, including depression. The presence of disease has a negative impact not only on family, but also on an occupational life. The quality of life study provides valuable information which gives a better understanding of the patients` needs. The role of stress in pathogenesis of some dermatological diseases and the influence of chronic dermatoses on selected parameters of patients` quality of life were presented in this article.
