Localized scleroderma (LSD) is a chronic disease of connective tissue characterized by focal inflammatory and sclerotic changes in the skin and underlying tissues without involvement of internal organs. Differential diagnosis of Pasini-Pierini atrophoderma with plaque scleroderma is based on the absence of characteristic for morphea features: marble-white, woody density plaques with a lilac rim and sclerosis of the dermis. The treatment of LSD is aimed for prevention of relapse and aggravation of the disease. Based on the fact that this disease is very rarely met in our country we decided to describe this case and give attention to practical doctors.
