Abstract:

?AnovelmagneticacidiccatalystcomprisingPreyssler(H14[NaP5W30O110])heteropolyacidsupportedonsilicacoatednickelferritenanoparticles(NiFe2O4@SiO2)wasprepared.ThecatalystwascharacterizedbyFouriertransforminfrared,scanningelectronmicroscopy,transmissionelectronmicroscopy,X-raydiffraction,energydispersivespectrum,VSMandparticlesizeneasurement.Itscatalyticactivitywasinvestigatedforthesynthesisofbis(dihydropyrimidinone)benzeneand3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-onesderivativesbytheBiginellireaction.Withthecatalyst,thereactionsoccurredinlessthan1hwithgoodtoexcel-lentyields.Moreimportantly,thecatalystwaseasilyseparatedfromthereactionmixturebyanexternalmagnetandreusedatleastfivetimeswithoutdegradationintheactivity.
