Abstract:

Since1980,thewhite-browedcrake(Porzanacinerea)hasbeenexperiencinganexpansionfromsouthoftheIsthmusofKra,northwardtoChina.Recently,thisspecieswasobservedinseverallocationsthroughoutSouthwestChina,includingNingmingandBaise,Guangxi(2012,2013),andXichang,Sichuan(2013).ThesesightingsarethefirstdistributionrecordofthisspeciesinmainlandChina,suggestingthatthewhite-browedcrakeisfollowinganaturalspeciesdispersalnorthwardintomainlandChinafromSoutheastAsia.
