Inactivation of Bacterial Spore, Endotoxin, Lipid A, Normal Prion and Abnormal Prion by Nitrogen Gas Plasma Exposure

Abstract This review discusses the application of non-equilibrium several sorts of gases plasma discharges for the sterilization and disinfection towards spores or bioburden on/in the healthcare products or biological indicator. The basic properties of electrical discharges are briefly reviewed and thereafter it discusses the interactions of gas plasma with several sorts of biological systems such as bacteria, bacterial spores, endotoxins, lipid A and normal and abnormal prion proteins
