Ipsilateral Hemiparesis Following Epidural Hematoma in a Patient With Traumatic Brain InjuryDOI: 10.5535/arm.2019.43.3.352 Abstract: A 15-year-old right-handed female underwent craniectomy and removal of epidural hematoma (EDH) due to head trauma sustained as a result of falling while riding a bicycle. A brain computed tomography at onset showed an EDH on the left fronto-parieto-temporal lobes and subarachnoid hemorrhage (Fig. 1A). Brain magnetic resonance images 5 years after onset showed a leukomalactic lesion in the left subcortical white matter, left cerebral peduncle, and anterior center of the mid-pons (Fig. 1B). The patient showed mild hemiparesis in the left upper and lower extremities (manual muscle test, 4/5)
