Is high level of hemoglobin A1C an indicator for extended period of antibiotherapy in diabetic foot ulcers?

Diabetic foot ulcers are the most common cause of hospitalization among the diabetic complications. Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) has a critical role in medical follow-up of diabetic patients. In fact, the role of HbA1C and related clinical parameters has been investigated in literature there are only a few studies investigating the relationship between HbA1C and the prolonged antibiotherapy.
