The molecular mechanisms underlying cervical cancer require elucidation to identify novel therapeutic targets. Apurinic/apyrimidinic endodeoxyribonuclease 1 (APE1) is a multifunctional apurinic/apyrimidinic (AP) endonuclease that influences the transcription of many cancer-related genes via microRNome regulation.
