Acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction complicated by acute pancreatitis: A case reportDOI: 10.15226/2573-864X/3/4/00150 Abstract: Acute myocardial infarction with acute pancreatitis is a rare association. Both have inflammation in common. But the exact mechanism of this association is unknown but systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) might be contributory. Here we report a case of acute inferior myocardial infarction treated with primary percutaneous intervention subsequently diagnosed to have acute pancreatitis on evaluation of persistent nausea and retching.
