Registered Nurses in Primary Care and Nursing Knowledge

It is important to explore the ways in which registered nurses (RNs) influence care across a variety of settings. There has been a clear call for baccalaureate-prepared RNs (BSN-RNs) to have a place at the forefront of primary healthcare. This place in primary care is important, but it needs to be grounded in unique nursing knowledge within the extant nursing models and theories.
