Abstract:

Sa?etak Given the social need of progress in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) applied to people with disabilities, the objective of this investigation is to verify the existence of significant differences in knowledge regarding ICT applied to the functional diversity (F.D.) on students in the Early Childhood Education Degree programme and Primary Education Degree programme, according to gender, course, title degree and if they have previously received training on ICT and functional diversity. To that end, we have used a sample of students from the University of Jaén (n= 440). In the analysis, we compared the means for independent samples (Student’s t) and calculated the effect size (Cohen’s d), along with a basic descriptive. The results show that, with a medium-low knowledge among the students, there are differences in favour of male students enrolled in the 3rd course who received specific training on the matter. We conclude that is essential to adopt measures in initial training to promote the qualification, knowledge and application of ICT to people with functional diversity due to the direct connection that exists between training level and applicabilit
