SEISMIC REFLECTION MODELLING IN ALA?EH?R GRABENKeywords: Sismik modelleme,Sismik h?zlar,Y??ma,Sismik g?? Abstract: Grabens in Western Anatolia attract attention as a region where many investments have been made by government agents as well as by entrepreneurs due to geothermal energy potential they have, along with the presence of small amount of oil reserves. Ala?ehir (Gediz) graben is one of the structures that has been developed under extensional tectonic regime in the Western Turkey. In this paper, synthetic stacked sections and corresponding migrated sections with different velocity models are generated by seismic forward modelling method for a depth model with geological features of the Ala?ehir Graben. Determination of the formation properties, such as layer thicknesses and seismic velocities that required for modeling, are gathered from previous studies in the literature. Seismic velocities from check-shots in Ala?ehir-1 well by TPAO and calculated average and Root Mean Square (RMS) velocities based on these velocities are used in the modeling. The purpose of this study is to present general geological model as a synthetic seismic reflection section for the Ala?ehir Graben and to show that how the general features of the geological model may change against different seismic velocity models after the migration
