Gardner Diamond Syndrome: Case Report

Abstract Gardner-Diamond Syndrome (Autoerythrocyte Sensitization Syndrome) is a raresyndrome manifesting itself as ecchymotic plaques but hemostatic screening tests arecompletely within normal limits usually seen in young women. Ecchymosis which is mostlyseen in extremities, spontaneously occurs after emotional stress and mild trauma. In somecases with Gardner Diamond syndrome, hemorrhagic findings and depression, dissociative reactions, psychogenic trauma in childhood, symptoms of conversion symptoms have been reported. A 39 years old presented with recurrent episodes of ecchymotic bruisingover the anterior aspect of both thighs and the literature was reviewed
