The activity was prepared in accordance with the 5th grade Social Studies Course, "Culture and Heritage" learning area, "Historic Journey" unit, "Mesopotamia and Anatolian Civilizations" topic. As a result of the study, it was tried to be gained to the students " Recognise the contribution of ancient civilizations to human history based on concrete ruins". The activity is based on the approach of game-based constructivist education. It is aimed to gain learning area and gain which are based on abstract concepts. In order to achieve permanent and continuous learning, the students took an active part in playing games. The study was conducted in the 2017-2018 academic year. Participants are 21 students, whom of 8 are girls and 13 are boys, who study in U?ak Province Yayalar Ortaokulu 5 / A class. Surveys and opinion forms were used as data collection tools. As a result of the activity, it was observed that the students' interest in the Social Studies Course and their participation in the course increased. In the end-of-term evaluations, it was seen that permanent learning could not be achieved but learning was more permanent as a result of the game-based evaluation.
