Hemoglobin, Iron, Ferritin And Vitamin B12 LevelsIn Recurrent Aphtous StomatitisKeywords: Rekürrent aft?z stomatit,demir,ferritin,vitamin B12 Abstract: Abstract Introduction:Recurrent aphtous stomatitis (RAS) is recurrent ulcers which are especially seen on oral mucosa. Its ethiopathogenesis is not definitely clear. Genetic factors, trauma, cigarette, some hematologic parameter changes are accused. In this manuscript, it is aimed to investigate comparatively serum hemoglobin, iron, ferritin and vi-tamin B12 levels of RAS cases with control group. Materials and Method:34 RAS and 45 control group individuals are taken into studyrandomly. Cases who had diagnosis that could effect serum hemoglobin, iron, ferritinand vitamin B12 levels are not included in study. Serum hemoglobin, iron, ferritin andvitamin B12 levels are investigated in bothh patient and control group. Findings are evaluated statistically with each other. Results:Serum hemoglobin, iron, ferritin and vitamin B12 levels are not found lowin comparison to control group. Conclusion:In conclusion, we have led to the opinionthat serum hemoglobin, iron, ferritin, and vitamin B12 le-vels in RAS cases in the patient selection that causes aphtous and effects hematologic examinations will not be different than the control group
