Effect on Ductile Iron Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Normalization Heat Treatment Conditions Applied at Different TemperaturesKeywords: KGDD,Normalizasyon,Mikro yap?,Sertlik Abstract: In the present study, micro structure and mechanical properties of ductile iron material were investigated under different normalization temperature (850-900-950?C) conditions. For this purpose, microstructure-hardness and standard tensile test specimens of ductile iron material were prepared for tensile test and micro structural investigations. The prepared test specimens compared to the material microstructure and mechanical properties of the before heat treatment were heated to the specified normalization temperatures. The test specimens were cooled to room temperature in the free air environment after 30 minutes of annealing. Optical and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used in studies for micro structural characterization of the test. For hardness and tensile properties, measurements respectively were carried out using Rockwell hardness tester (HRA588-60kg load) and under tensile speed of 1 mm / min by Shimadzu tensile tester. It has been determined that the hardness values of the ductile iron material are increased due to the normalization temperature increase. And also a decrease in tensile strengths was found
