A Reseach on Identifying the Problems of Industrial Businesses in Kastamonu Within the Framework of University and Industry Cooperation

The main purpose of this study is to identify the problems of the industrial businesses in Kastamonu within the framework of university-industry cooperation as a whole, and suggestions are made to redesign the cooperation between university-industry depending on the problems identified. In this context, a research has been held to managers or owners of the businesses in Kastamonu within the framework of industrial sector. In the study, are investigated management and organization, accounting and finance, human resources management, production / marketing and R & D, education, management system certification of organizations, and the problems of university-industry cooperation. Firstly, to identify problems, focus group interview has been held with the owners and managers of the businesses, the representatives of the associations such as the ministry of trade and industry chamber, and the principality of organized industry. Then, by using these interview results and secondary sources, a survey has been applied to the business holders or managers, and data were collected regarding these problems. By giving the descriptive results of the obtained data and a status determination was made. In the study, after is assessed the current situation, suggestions for solving the mentioned problems are presented
