Abstract:

In order to make efficient production in greenhouses, it is necessary to measure and evaluate the environmental values and to adapt the ambient conditions according to the grown product. The measurement and evaluation of the environmental parameters are an important part of the controlled greenhouse environment. The fact that the instantaneous measurement records are kept in the computer environment and these values can be observed over a wide time period makes it easier to evaluate the efficiency of the product in different environmental conditions. In this study, an internet of things based system was developed, with low-cost Raspberry Pi single board computer and ESP8266 wi-fi modules. With the developed system, the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity values, soil moisture, air quality and light values of the greenhouse taken from wireless sensors are recorded and can be monitored graphically with remote access. In cases where the values taken from the sensors exceed the lower and upper limit values determined by the user, the user can be notified by email and short message (SMS)
