WISDOM ELEMENTS RELEATED ENVIRONMENT - NATURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN PROVERBS WHICH ARE CONNECTED WITH WATER

Proverbs are concise words that express the attitudes, behaviors, and thoughts of societies in relation to life. It reflects their experience and way of life. It has an important place in the cultures of the societies and is the elements of wisdom. In this study, the elements of wisdom about environment-nature and environmental education in proverbs related to water have been discussed. In this study, qualitative research method was used. Data collection in qualitative research is often preferred as a means of document analysis techniques were utilized. It is also seen that the compiled proverbs are as stimulating as informative, instructive. For this reason, it can be said that the proverbs can be used in environmental education as much as they are in other branches
