Hearing Loss Associated with Guillain-Barre Syndrome: Case ReportKeywords: Guillain-Barre sendromu,i?itme kayb?,odyometrik de?erlendirme Abstract: Aim: Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) is an acute, inflammatory disease of the peripheral nerves and nerve roots. GBS is an acquired acute poliradiculoneuropathy characterized by common sensory, motor and autonomic symptoms, usually accompanied by progressive flask paralysis and deep tendon reflex reduction. In the literature, hearing loss accompanying GBS is very rare. Because of this, we presented a child patient who had bilateral modarately severe hearing loss at the age of 4 and had GBS. Method: The patient's data was written as a case report. Results: In this article pure-tone air-conduction thresholds, bone-conduction thresholds, speech reception threshold (SRT), and Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR) of the patient were given. Conclusions: Multidisciplinary follow-up is needed in patients with GBS. The common neurological profile of patients with GBS which accompanied by sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) is numbness in the distal extremities and facial paralysis. Especially for GBS patients with these findings, it is important to direct for audiological evaluation because hearing loss may also be encountere
