A JOB ANALAYSIS APPLICATION FOR POSITIONS WHICH MARITIME BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION GRADUATES MOSTLY WORK IN TURKISH FREIGHT FORWARDERS

Job analysis is the cornerstone of many human resourcess processes. A well-conducted job analysis provides the firm with all the information needed for a particular job (Meredith, 2005). According to Mathis and Jackson (1997), job description is related with; tasks, responsibilities and duties of a job and it identifies; what is done, why it is done, where it is done, and how it is done. Job description, one of the core products of job analysis, provides all the necessary information for a position in human resources processes. Companies in which maritime busines administration graduates mostly employed are freight forwarders. Through this study, it is aimed to establish job descriptions of maritime business administration graduates who are mostly work as operations, marketing and documentation specialists in freight forwarders through the training they have obtained at the undergraduate level and to create a guiding resource for both employers and candidates in this recruitment process
