SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY, PERFORMANCE-BASED NAVIGATION AND TURKEY PBN IMPLEMENTATION PLANKeywords: Uydu, uzay, GPS, GNSS, PBN, Anten, Frekans Abstract: In this study, a general information about satellite and space concept is given, brief history of space studies and history of space studies in Turkey are briefly presented. The areas in which they are working are gathered under the headings of satellites for communication, observation, navigation, meteorology, scientific and search and rescue. As it is known, daily air navigation activities of airplanes are carried out using many different technologies or methods. Until recently, air navigation services have been provided with the help of ground-based navigational aids (VOR, NDB, DME, ILS etc.) which can be traditionally expressed in many countries in our country. However, improvements in airplane equipment and satellite technology, as well as the deployment of ground-based navigational aids and the environmental impacts that restrict the performance of electromagnetic broadcast performance, natural and artificial mania and other geographical conditions, are both more effective and efficient use of the airspace, (Performance Based Navigation) applications in order to increase the number of applications. To this end, firstly PBN is known in detail by all stakeholders, the feasibility analysis should be made at which airports, what economic and flight safety enhancing effects should be clearly stated, and a roadmap should be made as to the phases at which the flight should be implemented It has become necessary. In this study, the abovementioned requirements will be dealt with in depth with regard to the needs of air routes and the future of air navigation services, and the steps and plans to follow in this context of ICAO's Doc 9613 "Performance Based Navigation Manual" in this documen
