PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SAMPLE ACTIVITY FOR TEACHING RECYCLING BY USING AUGMENTED REALITY

The aim of this study is to prepare and implement an 80-minute class activity for teachers’ use by using HP Reveal (Aurasma),which is one of the Augmented Reality practices, in relation to the gain “Explains the importance of seperating the solid waste for recycling” that is in the 8th grade Science class, Sustainable Development subject. In the developed course activity, the students are expected to take pictures and videos of the products they made about the recycling of solid wastes and combine them with HP Reveal (Aurasma) in order to create an information material aiming to increase the awareness of recycling of solid wastes and recycling awareness. It is expected that introduction of this sample activity can help teachers achieve the desired gains related to recycling in the science curriculum.
