The manager is obliged to establish these relationships and play more than one role as a necessity of the activities he is responsible for. The aim of this study is to develop a scale to determine teachers' perceptions of school managers’ roles. The scale was developed based on the “Manager Roles” of Mintzberg (1973). According to the classification by Mintzberg the manager roles are divided up into three categories; interpersonal roles, informational roles and decision making roles. A total of 219 teachers, who worked in Pamukkale and Mekezefendi provinces of Denizli, participated in the research voluntarily. In accordance with 10 educational sciences experts’ opinions and suggestions, the items were examined and rearranged with a field expert and a 32-item scale form was created. Exploratory Factor Analysis reached a structure consisting of three dimensions, interpersonal roles, informational roles and decision making roles, and a total of 22 items. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) model compliance values were determined to meet the specified criteria. The internal consistency coefficient obtained for the dimensions of the scale are; interpersonal roles .94; informational roles .92; decision making roles .96
