The Legislative Interpretation of Laws in the Turkish Constitutional History and its Practice

This study regarding ‘legislative interpretation of laws’ consists of two main chapters. In the first chapter, the properties of this type of interpretation are analysed in the scope of considerations on ‘legislative interpretation’. In addition to this, it is included that the effects of 'supremacy of parliament' and 'separation of powers' on the 'legislative interpretation'. In the second chapter, it is given some examples for legislative interpretation from different countries, and particularly is took into consideration ‘legislative interpretation in the history of Turkish constitutional history’. Also, I added this study practical dimension, by giving some practical examples from judicial judgements and legislative decisions on the matter
